Dardania AI broke ground on its AI Factory campus in the Ferizaj valley in August 2026. Excavation and pad levelling are in process, and the foundation slab is sized for the full 300 MW of Phase 1, so later blocks can be added on prepared ground.
The campus sits on a contiguous parcel on the R6 corridor, less than 1 km from Camp Bondsteel, the largest U.S. military installation in the Balkans, and on the high-voltage transmission corridor that will feed it.
Permitted and Under Way
The site is under Dardania AI’s control, environmental scoping is complete, and the construction permit has been issued. Soil sampling was completed ahead of the works. Remaining environmental consents are being progressed in step with construction.
Modular First, for Speed
The campus is planned as prefabricated 50 MW blocks, added in sequence as demand arrives. Power, cooling and data hall modules are built off-site and assembled on the slab, which reduces on-site labour and deployment time.
The design is set to the NVIDIA Vera Rubin DSX reference architecture, with 100% direct-to-chip liquid cooling. Vertiv is the critical infrastructure partner for power and thermal systems, and Black & White Engineering serves as owner’s engineer and lead designer, integrating the power, cooling and construction workstreams into a single coordinated design.
Sequence to First Power
- August 2026: Ground broken. Excavation and pad levelling under way.
- Next: Slab pour for the first 50 MW block, then EPC award.
- 2027: Buildings targeted to be GPU-ready and first energization, with 50 MW blocks added in sequence.
- 2028: Phase 1 targeted to reach 300 MW.
Construction has begun. The foundation slab is next.
